I don't know a ton about this, but a friend posted this on Facebook this week. Check out the project website. I think it is intriguing how a plume of steam from a clean energy company can be transformed into subject matter for art.

The Plume Project is a series of lighting experiments on Saint Paul’s downtown steam plume, lead by a coalition of independent artists in partnership with the District Energy heating and cooling plant. Three temporary projects will occur over the winter of 2015 and 2016, and are partially supported by the Knight Foundation’s Knight Art Challenge Grant.
